- The review of political arrangements will go ahead on a closed shop Administration councillors only basis. A move to have the working party reflect the Council political balance was rejected;
- Objections will be made to the proposed review of Highland constituencies, with the Council proposing a fourth seat for Inverness;
- A move led by Caithness members to alter the policy on bilingual road signs failed narrowly;
- Flood prevention schemes covering the River Ness up to the Islands were approved;
- The nearby Aquadome is to be taken back into Council ownership from the arms-length company set up by the previous Inverness District Council;
- The Council, as property owner and/or tenant, supported the introduction of a Business Improvement District in Inverness City Centre.
